Background Patients undergoing cardiovascular implantable electronic devices (CIED) implantation are often on direct oral anticoagulation (DOAC) therapy. Evidence on perioperative management of DOACs in patients undergoing CIED implantation is unclear. Objective We aim to systematically assess the literature for the best perioperative approach (interrupted vs uninterrupted DOAC therapy) in this patient population.
