How is social media changing news?

I think social media is great tool for connecting with others, but it has made lots of journalists lazy. =/

What does it mean to be a journalist?

To me, being a journalist means finding and telling other people's stories in a honest, no b.s. manner.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Email is best.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

No, we didn't have a high school newspaper. But, I did write for my college newspaper. I served as both writer and managing editor.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Honestly, I'm proud of all the stories I work on. I enjoy the art of reporting, writing and editing.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

I still love magazines (IDC IDC IDC) and read them religiously. Outside of that, I love fiction and non-fiction books.
