How is social media changing news?
Very much so. Headlines are oriented towards social media audiences, one must have the most attractive article at all times to stand out.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I helped shape it as one of the first members of the literary club. The professors did the bulk of the work but I was a prominent writer.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Can't really remember, editors at Dot are usually spot on with pitches.
