The game currently has an Overwhelmingly Negative rating on Steam, with just 19 percent of more than 1,400 user reviews being positive. Much of the criticism is about the updated unit cards, with players comparing the new illustrations against the original 2011 release.

Activision has partnered with Monster Energy for the 2026 Monster Energy Launch Invitational, the first pro tournament for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 is one of the biggest Tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 events in 2026, bringing 16 top teams from Europe, the Americas, and Asia to Romania for an eight-day LAN tournament. PC gamers might not have to wait nearly as long for GTA 6 as they did for GTA 5, since the PC version is reportedly planned for the first three months of 2027, just a few months after the game comes out on consoles. GamesBeat reported on Oct. 13 that Rockstar is planning to release GTA 6 on PC in the first quarter of 2027, citing four industry sources familiar with the studio’s plans. The sources asked not to be named to protect their business relationships.

Bandai Namco is finally making Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War a standalone application on Steam, reversing its earlier position that licensing and platform restrictions prevented such a release. The decision follows complaints from players who had to install roughly 140GB of Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve to play a pre-order bonus that takes up less than 4GB. Project Aces confirmed the change in a Steam post on Oct. 13, its third update on Zero since the complaints started.

With VALORANT Patch 13.08, Corrode returns to the Competitive map pool with a few layout changes. Nexon showcased the second map coming to the Trials mode in The First Descendant as part of the October update, promising more content down the line to grow it into a long-term mode. In the Dev Note on Oct. 13, Nexon gave us a first look at the second Trials map in The First Descendant, releasing on Oct. 15. The new map features new zones to fight through as you farm Transcendent weapons. The two maps will be on a daily rotation, bringing more variety into the mode.
