For a Washington women’s basketball team looking to make some noise in the postseason, Sunday night’s win against Oregon was the perfect opportunity to right the ship. The Huskies (19-7, 9-6 Big Ten), coming off a brutal 1-3 stretch the past four games, put down the aggressive Ducks (18-9, 6-8 Big Ten) 51-43 in an ugly but gritty display of willpower at Alaska Airlines Arena.

Five games remain on the Washington men’s basketball team’s schedule moving forward, leaving it with a slim window of making the big dance as an at-large team. It has less than a 16% chance to get into March Madness, requiring more than a little luck on its side. It would require UW winning out, a tough task considering it’s slated against a projected nine seed in Wisconsin and a strong bubble contender in Southern California.
