How is social media changing news?

With algorithms increasingly determining news consumption, shareable content can often outreach reliable sources--but the access is amazing.

What's your favorite social network?

Reddit is relatively anonymous, catches trends quickly, and can provide fascinating insights. Twitter for breaking news, FB for local.

Why did you become a journalist?

To the extent I can call myself one, I became a journalist thanks to perpetual curiosity, writing talent, and gravity.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

"What is Google Doing to Your Brain?"--a fresh look at neuroscientific research on how the internet may affect cognition.

What's your favorite drink?

I'm a big craft beer fan--I love watching it spread internationally and I find it a lot more accessible/differentiable than wine.
