Thomaston-Upson County has been named a host site for the upcoming Training Legends All-Star State Championship, slated Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28. In what has quickly become a thriving partnership between T-U Recreation Department and Training Legends, the civic center is set to host the third large-scale tournament for Training Legends in four weeks. Thomaston has become one of three locations selected to host tournaments, along with Hampton and Forsyth.

ULMS Basketball Caps Summer Workouts in Taylor County Tourney

Upson-Lee Middle School basketball capped its summer schedule with the Juneteenth Showdown tournament held last week in Taylor County. The Lady Knights continued to make the most of the momentum picked up after last year’s championship run with a tournament victory, scoring first place by defeating Marion County. Head Coach Danny Davis said the tournament provided insight on what the team needs to work on, mainly man-to-man defense.
