If you are among those who are regular readers of this magazine, then you may already be aware that, aside from my being an avid reader, I also care deeply about the environment and the future of our planet. As such, I also serve on the Village of Skokie’s Sustainable Environmental Advisory Commission, a position I have held since 2011.

Splash Magazines Worldwide congratulates The Rich Kid Rules on winning top honors at the NY City TV Festival, recognizing the series’ standout debut and reception at the festival. Earlier this month, I learned of writer/producer Tom Willoughby and The Rich Kid Rules, his debut pilot which premiered at the NYC TV Festival in New York City last week. Just prior to that, I had the opportunity to speak with him.

Shortly after its launch in 2024, I had the opportunity to speak with Julia Whelan, one of my favorite authors and the founder of Audiobrary. Recently, I had the opportunity to speak with her again, in order to catch up on what has been going on with the audiobook platform, and for a sneak peek at some of what is coming up in 2026.
