GRAND RAPIDS — A traveling show is nothing new in the world of theater. As far back as ancient Greek times, there were traveling theater troupes. However, in Northern Minnesota it’s a unique experience.

Hollywood films in 1976 were in interesting times. The “New Hollywood” era began a few years earlier, giving rise to new voices in film. However, the "classic Hollywood" regulars like John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart were still appearing on the big screen. In 1975, Jaws premiered as the first summer blockbuster. Star Wars would become a cultural phenomenon in 1977. That made 1976 an interesting time for moviegoers. No one could guess what lay ahead.

KAXE / KBXE, Brigid's Pub, and Keg N’ Cork are presenting a full day of free live music at the Beltrami Block Party in downtown Bemidji, featuring artists like Erik Koskinen and David Huckfelt, beginning at 1 p.m. It will also feature the Minnesota indie rock band Little Fevers, which has been making music together for over a decade. Lead singer Lucy Michelle joined KAXE Producer Andrew Dziengel to talk about the block party, how Little Fevers formed, and when to expect a new album.
