The Project Gigabit contract for East and West Sussex awarded to CityFibre has seen in the last week some new areas appear with full fibre now available to order. The villages of Clapham, Patching and Polling now have their first full fibre service available. Looking at the future roadworks in the area Arundel, Warningcamp, Wepham and Burpham all have roadworks planned for October 2026 but the majority of addresses in these villages already have access to Openreach full fibre.

No major milestones for any of the regions this month, but hopefully Wales will hit 90% Gigabit coverage in the next four weeks. The Openreach full fibre roll-out continues but the reality that a good proportion of this is overbuild of other full fibre networks is visible then you look at the Openreach FTTP change figures in each region and compare them to the overall FTTP change figures.

With only 3 and a bit months until the end of 2026 the Openreach goal of 25 million premises passed by its full fibre network is getting very close. Today our tracking of not just the premises passed but actual addresses where service is Ready for Service has hit 23.5 million premises, and this is with no rounding up i.e. we are a few thousand premises over the top.
