After a beautiful start to the workweek, we'll see more of the same on Tuesday. Starting with bright sunshine in the morning, followed by just a few clouds in the afternoon, Tuesday will be a spectacular late spring day, with highs in the 80s in the city and 70s at the shore. Expect a bit more humidity Tuesday evening and a few more clouds overnight heading into Wednesday. NEXT Big Change After a very nice start to the week, the heat and humidity start to increase by the middle of the week.

After a stormy Sunday, the Philadelphia area can expect skies to open up quickly as we start a new work week. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies meet and greet us on Monday. It'll be a lot less humid, with highs in the 70s around the suburbs, mountains and shore points; low 80s in the city of Philadelphia. Winds will be light and out of the northwest.

Heat wave continues in Philadelphia, severe storms Sunday evening could impact outdoor plans

Humidity creeps back into the picture on Sunday with highs in the low 90s, increasing clouds and brisk southwest winds ahead of a strong cold front. After 4 p.m., scattered storms will develop. Some of the storms will be strong to severe and capable of producing damaging winds, large hail and heavy downpours. While the tornado threat is low, it's not zero. Much of the day will be rain and storm free, but have a back-up plan to move any late day outdoor activities or World Cup watch parties indoors.
