1 INTRODUCTION Dicamba (2-methoxy-3,6-dichlorobenzoic acid) is an auxin hormone mimic herbicide common to US crop production since registration in 1962.1-3 Historically, dicamba was used primarily to control annual and perennial broadleaf weeds in corn (Zea mays L.) and cereals.2, 3 In 2016, dicamba was registered for over-the-top (OTT) applications in genetically engineered DT crops such as soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] and cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.).

Abstract Despite established understanding of plant physiological responses to elevated [CO2], the underlying genes are poorly understood. Soybean transcriptomics previously identified a GATA transcription factor, involved in carbon and nitrogen metabolism, as responsive to elevated [CO2]. Supported by in silico modeling, we therefore hypothesized that this gene plays a previously unrecognized role in responding to elevated [CO2].

Abstract Grasses grow a series of phytomers during development. The distance between successive leaves is determined by internode lengths. Grasses exhibit genetic, developmental, and environmental variability in phytomer number, but how this affects internode length, biomass, and height is unknown.
