ELKHART, Ill. - Two people were killed in a plane crash Tuesday in Elkhart County, Indiana, according to the sheriff's office. The plane crash was reported around 2:20 p.m. Eastern in the 5200 block of County Road 21 in Bristol. In a news release, the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office said two people were on the airplane and died. Their identities haven't been released.

US Olympian dies in motorcycle crash

BULL VALLEY, Ill. (WGN-TV) — An Olympic ski jumper from Illinois was killed Monday in a motorcycle crash. Patrick Gasienica, 24, was involved in a crash while riding a motorcycle in Bull Valley, Illinois, according to the McHenry County Coroner’s Office. Gasiencia, who was a member of the Norge Ski Club, competed in the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.
