Andres Carrasco-Sanchez, 49 pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated first-degree murder, second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, attempt to elude, and alien in possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to life in prison.
Fortnite Festival features song from Portland duo in game’s 15th season Original
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A song from a Portland-based musical act is featured in a popular video game. Fortnite Festival added “Hot Blooded” by New Constellations to its list of jam tracks on Thursday. This comes more than five years after the duo debuted the single. Harlee Case and Josh Smith, described as “lifelong sidekicks” based in Portland, make up New Constellations. The artists released “Hot Blooded” as a single on Jan. 1, 2021, the year before the music video premiered.
Oregon woman who abused her cats tried to assault officer with knife when confronted, police say Original
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Nine cats were removed from a St. Helens home suspected of animal abuse, the St. Helens Police Department said. Eva Gerich, 29, was arrested and charged with animal neglect, animal abuse, unlawful use of a weapon, criminal mischief and burglary on Wednesday. Officers said they were serving an arrest warrant at a house near the 2500 block of Columbia Boulevard on Wednesday. They said that’s when Gerich is came at an officer with a knife. No injuries occurred.
Woman arrested in connection to Tillamook massage parlor investigation Original
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Tillamook massage business owner was arrested Thursday after authorities raided the parlor amid human trafficking concerns. On Thursday, investigators executed a search warrant at Pearl Massage on North Main Ave. At the scene, authorities seized more than $4,600 in cash along with evidence investigators believe is tied to prostitution and other unlawful activity. Tillamook police said 55-year-old Deng Shuyuan was arrested in connection to the investigation.
