TENS OF THOUSANDS of people filled the streets of Dublin today for the capital’s annual Pride parade, as the city continues to host a packed programme of celebrations, performances and community events. The parade got underway on O’Connell Street at 12.30pm before making its way through the city centre to Merrion Square. This year’s theme, ‘One Story – Many Voices’, focused on the shared experiences that connect LGBTQ+ people across different backgrounds, generations and identities.

Yamamori to end all DJ and nightclub events from July after agreement reached with Hoxton landlord

DJ AND NIGHTCLUB events at Yamamori Izakaya in Dublin will end next month after the venue and the adjoining Hoxton Hotel reached an agreement following a High Court dispute over noise. In a joint statement posted on social media, Yamamori and Trinity Hospitality, the leaseholder of the hotel, said they had agreed a “mutually beneficial” solution that allows both businesses to operate “side by side”.

LEWIS CAPALDI HAS been confirmed as the final headliner for Electric Picnic 2026 after the news was accidentally revealed on merchandise sold at his Dublin concerts. Festival organisers moved to announce the slot after fans spotted Capaldi’s name and the date of his Electric Picnic appearance printed on official merchandise at his Marlay Park shows on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Scottish singer will headline the opening night of the festival on Friday, 28 August.
