"No one can serve two masters" (Matthew 6:24). Songs of worship and songs of patriotism are not the same thing. Nationalistic music expresses varying degrees of allegiance and support for your country, and as such, it is quite separate and distinct from worshipping God through song which is a spiritual act of love and adoration. The Best Way To Beat The Darkness

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not overpower it" (John 1:5). Yelling at the darkness doesn't do any good. Ever since sin entered the world, spiritual darkness has overshadowed the human race. It began with the devil, it corrupted our souls, and it degraded our communities. Spiritual darkness wraps itself in lies and deceptions and seeks to destroy God's plans and rule over all creation. It is wickedness run amuck. It has infected politics, education, business, and churches.

Music To Live By

"Sing to the Lord, all the earth" (Psalm 96:1). Music has three important parts. 1. Connection - Music comes in various types and styles because God made us all uniquely different, with different likes and dislikes. He also made us body, soul, and spirit, and music is the only thing that connects all three. Music makes us want to move our bodies, it inspires and motivates our mind-will-emotions (soul), and it lifts our spirits beyond our normal reality into the higher realms. 2.
