David Sullivan has announced his resignation as joint-chair and director of West Ham with immediate effect in a statement (PA) David Sullivan has announced he will step down as chairman of West Ham with immediate effect to fight "false allegations" about his private life. The 77-year-old is leaving his role of 16 years and two weeks after the East London club was relegated from the Premier League.
