The 39-year-old decorator is known as Paint Warrior – and has millions of followers across TikTok and Instagram.
Comment: The role of IoT and sub-gigahertz connectivity in tackling water leakage - The Engineer
Water leakage continues to pose a significant challenge for both residential and commercial properties across the UK. The financial, environmental and operational consequences are considerable, with rising water bills, and increasing insurance claims for water damage underscoring the urgency of developing better leak detection and management solutions.
How to be a Norwegian parent: let your kids roam free, stay home alone, have fun – and fail - NewsBreak
Nila, 10, and Arion, eight, in their local park in Stavanger, Norway. Photograph: Marie von Krogh/The Guardian It’s 1.30pm. Nila and Arion arrive home after finishing school for the day. They let themselves in, make some food, then sit down to do homework, or practise piano, or do the housework they’ve been asked to do. Their parents won’t be home for a few hours yet. The children sometimes go out with friends to play in the street or wander the fields.
‘What the hell have we done?’ The people buying homes sight unseen
Jez and Julie, both 62, had a beautiful life in Brittany. The couple had moved there from York in 2000, after retiring from teaching, and had begun to buy, renovate and sell houses to make a living. They lived in a 300-year-old stone farmhouse by a lake. “My mum died in 1995 when she was only 63,” says Jez, who has asked for his surname not to be used.
The Last of Us finale recap - what a brutal, sadistic triumph of television
The following episode contains spoilers for the The Last of Us finale. Please do not read unless you have seen episodes one to nine. How about that? A perfect ending to a near flawless series. Of course, I’ve been wrong before: I thought episode eight was pretty special, too, but if the comments here were anything to go by, David’s cannibal party split the audience. There were those who shared my view and those who felt it was too obvious, too gory and just not as good as The Walking Dead.
The Last of Us recap episode seven - the most painful farewell of all
This article contains spoilers for The Last of Us TV series. Do not read unless you have seen episodes one to seven … I can’t help but feel torn after this seventh episode. It has nothing to do with my enjoyment of it or the quality, but what it means for the rest of the series.
The Last of Us recap episode six – fear and roaming in Wyoming - NewsBreak
We’re well past the halfway point of this nine-part series, and it’s going pretty well so far. If you’re enjoying it as much as I am, you’d probably go further than that. I do have a few concerns, though, particularly given the way the episode ended and how far Ellie is from the relocated Fireflies hospital. There are three episodes left and a lot of ground to cover.
The Last of Us recap episode five – all hell breaks loose - NewsBreak
‘Have we no dignity left?’: the Turkish town forced to dig itself out from the rubble For 60 hours, Barış Yapar tried to dig his grandparents’ bodies out from under the rubble of their own home. With his parents, Habip and Sevcan, the 27-year-old clinical psychology student tried in vain to extract the corpses. It was desperate work.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power recap: episode four - the Queen stops being angry!
By the rivers of … Beleriand After getting a blurry glimpse last week, we get to see Adar (Joseph Mawle) properly. His chat with Arondir (Ismael Cruz Córdova) before releasing him from proto-Mordor might have been short, but we did glean a few nuggets. Adar is a corrupted elf in the service of Sauron. He and Arondir spoke Elvish and swapped stories of rivers in Beleriand (an area mostly destroyed by Morgoth’s forces during the War of Wrath of the First Age).
