CARACAS, Venezuela (WAVY) — More than 1,400 people have been declared dead as of Sunday morning, following Wednesday's powerful earthquakes in Venezuela, but international search-and-rescue teams are still pulling survivors from the rubble alive. Among those responding to the disaster zone is Virginia Task Force 1, a specialized urban search and rescue team from Fairfax County, Va. On Thursday, the team successfully rescued a mother and her 9-month-old baby from a collapsed building.
