This Pride season, following a difficult first half of the year for trans residents in the state, Kansans are coming together to send an unequivocal message: LGBTQ people are part of the fabric of our local communities, we are proud, and we are here to stay, no matter what.

As our community embraces Pride events around the country this summer, it’s an important time to build awareness regarding key initiatives that will affect LGBTQ voters this coming election, including an exciting opportunity to protect the freedom to marry in Virginia. In November, Virginia voters will consider a ballot measure to strike antiquated language from the state constitution banning marriage for same-sex couples. The measure affirms language in the 2015 Obergefell v.

Broad Coalition Seeks a NO Vote on Proposal Rolling Back Lifesaving Health Care for Women and Trans People Extremist lawmakers in Missouri are forcing a vote on Amendment 3, a ballot measure that makes Missouri the first state in the country to ask voters to roll back access to essential health care for trans youth and their families. The measure also includes an effort to reintroduce an abortion ban that voters already rejected just two years ago.
