I’m a 50+ mom of 2. I was born and raised 2 houses from the beach in Miller, Indiana but have been living in Indianapolis for over 30 years. I have worked for the State of Indiana for almost 20 years now. I love math, technology, forensics, motorcycles, writing poetry, and watching my son play baseball. My children and my 2 grandbabies are my world and I’m happy….when they’re happy.

1 Background While global rates of suicide have been steadily decreasing [1], the rate of suicide is significantly higher among people impacted by cancer [2]. Consistently, studies have highlighted people living with and beyond head and neck cancer are at greater risk of suicidal ideation and death by suicide than the general population [3-5]. Suicidal ideation is operationally defined as thoughts of self-harm and suicide [6].
