To be as objective as possible and report on the truth regardless of what either political side says.

Why did you become a journalist?

I love to write and as a liberal living in a very conservative region, I felt it necessary to provide a voice for this small minority.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Unfortunately, we had no school paper.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I'm proud of the stories that tell stories of real people and what they face everyday, especially those not told by mainstream media.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Just write and do your research. Don't worry about what other journalists are doing, but learn how you can do it better.
