1 Introduction Word fluency refers to the ability to generate as many words as possible within a limited period of time, drawing on both crystallized and fluid intelligence (Schmidt et al., 2017). Crystallized intelligence includes semantic memory and phonological memory. Semantic memory encompasses knowledge of concepts and word meanings, while phonological memory involves information about the phonemic structure of language and letter-sound associations.

Validation and psychometric properties of the quality of life in people with hearing loss questionnaire (HL-QoL) in English

Abstract Background The Quality of Life in People with Hearing Loss Questionnaire (HL-QoL) measures quality of life (QoL) in individuals with hearing loss. The German version of the HL-QoL was validated in cochlear implant (CI) users. Objectives Validation of the English version of the HL-QoL. Material and methods The HL-QoL was forward-backward translated. 97 participants were included in the HL-QoL validation.
