Heart-n-Soul Community Café marked its 10th anniversary Friday, June 12, 2026, with a ribbon cutting and community lunch. The café, which started as a way to make sure anyone in the Fargo-Moorhead area can “dine with dignity,” operates with a pay-what-you-can model.

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (Valley News Live) - Essentia Health St. Mary’s–Detroit Lakes has introduced a new robotic-assisted system for knee replacement surgeries that hospital leaders say will improve precision and speed recovery times for patients. The ROSA Knee System — short for Robotic Surgical Assistant — uses data collected before and during surgery to help surgeons tailor each knee replacement to a patient’s unique anatomy.

MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) - Construction is underway on a new roundabout at a Moorhead intersection where a 9-year-old boy was hit and killed by a city water truck last summer. Crews have started work at 40th Avenue and 14th Street South, the same corner where Adam Amin died after being struck in the crosswalk.
