1. Introduction Aramids are aromatic polyamides, characterized mainly by high thermal stability and excellent mechanical properties. They are used in many products, e.g., ropes, sound speaker membranes, sails, aircraft parts, tires, bulletproof vests, etc. A significant area of application for aramid textile materials is special clothing for high-risk professions, e.g., firefighters.
