Anna Blackwell’s Biography

Anna has been quietly writing about games since 2014 with criticalindiegamer.com where she worked her way up from contributor to editor. After finishing university Anna decided to give freelance writing as a career a proper try and started writing for Tabletop Gaming Magazine, Retrogamer, The Skinny, and more.

Along the way she has branched out into role-playing game writing, board game design, and rulebook writing for various companies in Europe and the U.S.

As of 2019 she has been curating a monthly microgame feature in Tabletop Gaming Magazine as well as running her own indie game review website, Indie Uncovered.

Looking forward to 2020, Anna is looking to diversify her portfolio with more music, film, and travel writing, as well as any other opportunities that should arise. Bushcraft tips, anyone?
