The Carolina Hurricanes head coach brought the Stanley Cup to local establishments throughout Raleigh to celebrate his day with the trophy. To kick the day off, Brind’Amour and the trophy stopped by Raleigh Police’s Southwest District to visit officers who work off duty at the Lenovo Center.

Martinook throws 1st pitch before Durham Bulls game with Stanley Cup

Hurricanes forward brings trophy to watch AAA team August 26, 2026 Jordan Martinook took the Stanley Cup out to the ball game. The Carolina Hurricanes forward brought the trophy to the Durham Bulls game at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Tuesday. Joined by two of his kids, Martinook lifted the Cup as he took his place on the mound for the ceremonial first pitch. Fans in the stands gave them a loud ovation. The veteran forward then tossed the ball right down the middle for a strike.
