A phytocannabinoid-sensitive phosphorylation switch converts endocannabinoids into alternative lipid GPCR activators
Abstract Abstract: Endocannabinoids (eCBs) like anandamide and 2-arachidonoylglycerol are endogenous lipid ligands for CB1 and CB2 G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Here, we show that phosphorylation of biologically important anandamide generates naturally occurring anandamide phosphate (AEAp), which switches GPCR ligand specificity to lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) receptors (LPARs) and the primate-specific bile acid sensory receptor MRGPRX4.
Structural and biochemical basis for cannabinoid cyclase activity in marine bacterial flavoenzymes
Abstract The marine bacterial flavoenzymes Clz9 and Tcz9 can process cannabigerolic acid to the minor cannabinoid, cannabichromenic acid (CBCA); however, the mechanistic details of this extrinsic transformation are still obscure. Here we report a thorough analysis of CBCA formation by Clz9 and Tcz9 through high-resolution crystallographic characterization, biochemical analysis and spectroscopic interrogation.

Clinical and analytical validation of a combined RNA and DNA exome assay across a large tumor cohort - Communications Medicine
Abstract Combining RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) with whole exome sequencing (WES) from a single tumor sample can substantially improve the detection of clinically relevant alterations in cancer. However, routine clinical adoption of this integrated approach remains limited, especially for RNA-seq, due to the absence of standardized validation frameworks.
Caged luciferins enable rapid multicomponent bioluminescence imaging
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION We hypothesized that caged luciferins and their corresponding uncaging enzymes would interface with the rapid linear unmixing algorithm developed previously in our lab, streamlining multicomponent imaging.9, 36 Only in the presence of cells expressing both the corresponding uncaging enzyme and Fluc would bioluminescent signal be produced, upon incubation with the corresponding caged luciferins (Figure 1B).

White Lace Button-Up Maxi Dress
I seriously think this White Lace Button-Up Maxi Dress can be worn as a wedding dress. 🙂 It’s a bit too formal to label it as a “maxi dress” and something I won’t casually wear. But I first fell in love with the details. As I’m fond of laces, this cute dress is worth buying. White Lace Button-Up Maxi Dress is strikingly beautiful with its full lace structure from the collar to the lower hem. The inner part in beige that matches the tie makes it even look more stunning.
