Method Data from the annual General Practice Patient Survey (GPPS) were used in the study. This was sent to a sample of individuals registered with each general practice in England between January and March and received around 700 000 responses each year.20 Data from 6 years of the survey were used (2018–2023) covering the periods before and after the introduction of the social prescribing link worker expansion. Supplementary Table S1 contains the response rate for each survey year.
