A Los Angeles Theatre Review: ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’
I’ve come to realize that the longer I’ve been reviewing theatre, the more exasperated I get in reviewing works written by dead white men when there are so many incredible and undiscovered global majority artists out there. More often than not, PWI theatre companies rely on such works because they are comfort viewing for most of their subscribers and if they hire global majority actors, it’s usually for minor parts.

'Lucky Hank' Episode 3 Review: Bob Odenkirk's Hank stuck between childhood trauma and bad memories
Spoilers for 'Lucky Hank' Episode 3 'Escape' LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bod Odenkirk was the best choice when AMC+ wanted to find their lead for 'Lucky Hank'. The character is complex with many layers. BWW Review: A DEATH DEFYING ESCAPE at Hudson Guild Theater
The person in the audience brought up on stage during A DEATH-DEFYING ESCAPE, Judy Carter's autobiographical play with magic, was asked to identify the world's most famous female magician. "Can't name one," the poor idiot replied, supplying an answer that Carter was probably expecting and has heard many times before. "There are no famous female magicians," she states at one point in her performance. OK, before we proceed, an admission. That audience member was me and I didn't actually volunteer.

Senior Love Triangle
By Alan Ng | August 3, 2020 It’s been said that there’s no new story under the sun (or something like that). This implies that all the good stories have been told, and if true, then the key to retelling an old tale is to put a fresh spin. In Isadora Kosofsky and Kelly Blatz’s Senior Love Triangle, they do just that by taking the love triangle angle and making the principals seniors. It’s so crazy, it works. Tom Bower plays the charismatic, yet delusional, World War II veteran William.
