FiveStack LIVE: Trump Pardon Costs $50 Million, Paid to Alina Habba
Putin freed Stephen Hubbard, a 74-year-old American teacher, with no swap, and Trump said it would not have happened without last week's sanctions pause. Steve Witkoff told Putin to his face, "You are a humanitarian also, sir." The quid is on the table; the quo is not. Trump told Kansas on Monday that France burning is what Democrats want to do to America, and told Greenville on Tuesday what he will do about it.

by Anne P. Mitchell, Esq. - attorney, law professor, legal commentator, author of Federal law, and independent journalist Oh happy day! I'm sure that by now you've heard that Trump's newest White House press secretary, Katie Zacharia, *immediately* came under scrutiny and fire almost as soon as she took the podium. Narativ Live: Epstein's Company Fired First in 2008
Anne P. Mitchell took the chair and opened with the question the book keeps getting asked: is The Greatest Heist the story of how Russia captured the presidency? The answer set the hour. It is the story of how Russia infected American capitalism, crashed the markets more than once and captured the presidency, in that order, because the first two were needed to do the third. What the chapter proves.
FiveStack: Trump Spares Putin’s Refineries As Oligarch Funds Don Jr’s Wedding, Obama’s CIA Director Is Subpoenaed, And Trump Calls AI Fears a Hoax
Diesel hit a record $6.23 a gallon Monday, the 10-year Treasury touched 5 percent, its highest since October 2023, and Costco began rationing motor oil. Trump posted his fix at 11:05 AM: Ukraine has agreed to stop hitting Russian refineries. The player Trump is helping most is Russia.
KUSHNER AND JEFFRIES SECRET MEETING; SCOTUS LETS TRUMP MEDDLE; MAXWELL'S PARDON PLAN; AND RIP DOLLY PARTON
Lev Parnas says Jared Kushner sat in a meeting about what happens after the midterms and named Hakeem Jeffries the weak spot. Kushner had his reasons, Parnas told Narativ Live Tuesday. Kushner worked alongside Jeffries on the First Step Act last year and came away with a read on him. Trump sent Kushner rather than anyone on the payroll because Kushner holds no official role — “plus, he could talk about things that people in the administration can’t,” Parnas said.
Parnas Calls the Decoy Flight a Cover Story
“There was no threat to that plane whatsoever. I call it bullshit. I call it a setup. I call it a wag-the-dog situation,” Lev Parnas said on Narativ Live Wednesday — and then he told the audience what he thinks the catering truck was actually for. Parnas, who spent years inside Trump’s orbit before turning whistleblower, laid out his case on the air. American intelligence would never load a genuinely targeted plane with the White House press corps, the Secretary of State and the Treasury Secretary.

In a well-tailored suit offset with a snazzy pocket square, he is alight in a room full of people, introducing each to someone else, making connections like a magnet charged with positive energy. On this evening, at a social function for the local African-American and Hispanic chambers of commerce, he greets the crowd in Spanish. “Somos uno,” he says, we are one.
'Finding Kenyon Barr' Documents the Wholesale Demolition of the Lower West End
The barren, not-quite-post-industrial (that would have required, at some point, the presence of booming industry) acreage of Queensgate holds a secret. A secret that, save for short memory spans and some level of civic neglect, would be no secret at all. Because just 60 years ago, a populous neighborhood—full of life and families and small businesses and beautiful brick buildings—stood in its place.
UNISON demands equal access to justice

The union is challenging the decision by the Ministry of Justice to bring in fees for claims in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal on 29 July 2013, by calling for a Judicial Review.
a16z Podcast: Independents on the Board
“Orthogonal thinking” but “shared core values” — that’s what makes an ideal board… especially when it comes to “independents”, i.e., board members who aren’t also investors. But how do you get the most out of those independent directors, who are often in the minority? How do you bring in the best board member for the company, team, product — not just as another box to check on the road to IPO, but to ensure a fresh and/or missing perspective?
Two Wrongs Don’t Make a Right
