The space includes comfortable seating, a TV, games, coloring books, stuffed animals, a safety gate and other activities to help them feel at ease. The Horry County Police Department has opened a new comfort room for children. The Kid’s Comfort Room is located inside police headquarters at the M.L. Brown Public Safety Building. It’s intended for children who need to spend time at the department during investigations or other difficult circumstances.
