Introduction Advances in cardiovascular interventional technology and stent materials are promoting an increase in the number of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) procedures and the number of patients undergoing complex, high risk PCI treatments.

Case presentation History of illness and physical examination A 41-year-old man was presented with a 1-month history of progressively worsening cough, chest tightness, and dyspnea after exercise, which could be relieved following rest. He denied any history of smoking, radiation exposure, known lung disease, or a personal or family history of malignancy. The patient visited the Department of Respiratory Medicine for treatment due to the rapid development of dyspnea and worsening cough.

Case presentation A 60-year-old female patient was admitted to the hospital after she reported experiencing frequent nausea and dizziness for more than 1 year. Vertigo did not reveal a significant relationship with the body position and spontaneously resolved after a while. For a year, the appeal symptoms had recurred. She presented with a 3-year history of hypertension and coronary heart disease. The patient's mother and three sisters had a history of identical undiagnosed vertigo.
