April 9 was the Queer Soup Night held in the Sherrill Center. The event, sponsored by the Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies departments, featured a soup bar prepared by volunteers and a drag show from local performers. Queer Soup is historically a gathering for the LGBTQ+ community where people get together to share food and socialize.

This is the fourth installment of a series of reviews of the Netflix series Stranger Things. To read a review of the third season, click here. There’s no need to dance around it, this is the weakest season so far. Let it be known that the hardest part of writing this review was making sure it didn’t get too long from talking about everything that bothered me. Stranger Things season four takes place almost a year after the events of season three.

Among other things, UNC Asheville students care a lot about sustainability and LGBTQ+ rights. So it’s not hard to imagine that the two causes would come together in such a way. March 29 was the Zero Waste Student Drag Show. The event was a collaborative effort between the Student Environmental Center , Women Gender Sexuality Studies and Trans Student Union , as part of Greenfest to promote zero waste initiatives on campus. SGA Vice President Victor Cabral was asked to host the event by organizers.
