A great photographer is known by his or her signature style—one that, to the untrained eye, may seem to defy certain rules. But style rests on something deeper and more enduring: a set of archetypal principles underlying all human creation. Archetypes predate creation itself. They are not things we can point to and say, “Look—this is Life, or Beauty, or Harmony.” They elude definition.

Honestly, they almost came across like endorsements of the tech, so I’m glad you wrote this post to clear up how you actually feel about AI in photography. Back when we used Photoshop just to clean up little distractions, like power lines or a trash can, it felt pretty harmless. And you actually needed some skill to clone, blend, or patch things so they looked natural.
