Vikings Host Bears as Playoff Push Intensifies
The Vikings are coming off of a week 14 defeat that they would like to forget against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Luckily for them, they are still very much alive in the NFC Playoff Picture and a win against the Chicago Bears will help their cause tremendously. The last time that these two teams faced off, the Vikings came away with a 19-13 victory at Soldier Field. Another win this Sunday will give them the tiebreaker and will possibly knock the Bears out of playoff contention.
Vikings Drop Out of Playoffs as They are Defeated by Tampa Bay, 26-14
The Vikings lost a pivotal week 14 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that currently drops them out of the top eight teams that make the playoffs in the NFC. Fortunately for Minnesota, they aren’t out of it yet, but their chances may be slim to none given their next three games they play. The Vikings downfall this year has been their special team play, which is the exact reason why they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past Sunday.
As Playoffs Loom Near, Vikings Travel to Tampa Bay
The Minnesota Vikings end their 2020-2021 campaign with three of their last four games away from U.S. Bank Stadium. For most teams, that would cause a lot of problems, but not for the Vikings this year. The Vikings have played exponentially better this year on the road than at home. Let the record speak for itself. The Vikings are 3-2 on the road and 3-4 at home.
Vikings Win in Overtime as Playoff Push Surges, Beat Jaguars 27-24
It wasn’t pretty but the Minnesota Vikings came away with a must win victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, 27-24, to continue their playoff push and surge into playoff contention as the end of the season nears. If you look at the stats from this game, it looks like the Vikings came away with an easy victory, however, it was the complete opposite.
Pair of Vikings Win Awards in the NFC
Both Dalvin Cook and Kirk Cousins are walking away with awards bestowed upon them by the NFL this week. Dalvin Cook, who was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month, is coming off of a tremendous five game span that saw him carry the Vikings to a 4-1 record during the month of November. He would go on to score seven touchdowns and accumulate 832 yards from scrimmage in those five games.
Vikings Look to Continue Playoff Push, Host Jaguars
The reigning NFC Offensive Player of the Week, Kirk Cousins, will look to continue his dominant play as Jacksonville visits U.S. Bank Stadium for a pivotal Vikings matchup as week 13 roles on. Cousins has been one of the most consistent and dominant quarterbacks in the NFL in the last two months. He leads the NFL in passer rating (124.3), second in catchable passes (77.9), second in TD-INT ratio (12-1), third in passing touchdowns (12) and third in completion percentage (72.4).
Dalvin Cook Propels Vikings to Victory in Lambeau, Defeat Packers 28-22
It didn't take long for Dalvin Cook to get back into the swing of things after missing the Vikings contest against the Falcons two weeks ago with a groin injury. Cook, who was deemed questionable early Sunday morning, didn't seem to show any bit of an injury during this career performance against the Green Bay Packers. He even did something that hadn't been done in 50 years...
Vikings Week Eight Game vs. Packers is Must Win
After a Week Eight Bye that saw the Minnesota Vikings trade away their best defensive player in Yannick Ngakoue, and lose their second-best defensive player in Danielle Hunter to season ending surgery, the Vikings are in desperate need of a win. Not to mention, the Vikings will be playing Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, who are poised to be a heavy Super Bowl Contender once February rolls in.
Vikings Abysmal Week 6 Performance Sends Them to 1-5, Loss 40-23 to Falcons
It didn't take the Minnesota Vikings long to put themselves into a deep whole this week. It took five seconds into the first quarter for Kirk Cousins to commit another turnover, and a little under three minutes later for the Atlanta Falcons to start the scoring. Cousins would go on to throw two more interceptions in a game that featured the 31st worse defense in the National Football League.
Vikings Week 6 Game in Jeopardy as they host the Atlanta Falcons
After a heartbreaking game last week against the Seattle Seahawks, the Minnesota Vikings will be looking to get back in the win column as they take on an Atlanta Falcons team that is in complete shambles. Both teams, who were deemed playoff contenders, have not started the season the way they had hoped for. The Vikings have not been able to play a full, fundamentally sound, football game this year.
Vikings Looking for First Win as they Head to Indianapolis
The Minnesota Vikings did everything right last week on the offensive side of the ball. Kirk Cousins continued to be the accurate passer he is, completing 19 of 25 passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns. The running game, behind the one-two-punch of Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison, was also spectacular with both averaging five and a half yards per carry.
