The Thomas & Mack Center served as the stage for his stellar playmaking and decision-making. Now, he has the chance to steal the show in a draft class headlined by a four-headed monster. He's likely going to shine in the second unit One of Atlanta’s biggest weaknesses last season was the lack of playmaking from their guard room.

With every passing day, the 81st NBA season inches closer and closer. With so many moves in both conferences after a historic trade deadline, this year should present many surprises on the hardwood. So, the Atlanta Hawks have to compete against a rigorous Eastern Conference gauntlet if they want to make the postseason in 2027. The league released the schedule last week, and the Hawks will face superstar talent in four of the first five games of the season.

This summer was filled with many twists and turns for almost every NBA franchise. Even the Atlanta Hawks had a very busy summer, bringing in new players and front-office executives. But the fanbase was rocked yet again after the team announced Kyle Korver’s departure from the front office. It’s not surprising given the addition of Tim Bontemps, and all of the changes to the roster. Nonetheless, Korver’s presence will be missed around the Hawks practice facility and for good reason.
