The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index climbed 0.67 percent on Sunday, October 19, closing above the 2,500 mark on the final trading day before the Tihar holidays. The benchmark index, which had declined for three consecutive days, rebounded to close at 2,503.85 points, after hitting an intraday high of 2,507.12 and a low of 2,482.94. Out of the traded companies, 163 advanced, 78 declined, and 8 remained unchanged.

CIAA accuses them of corruption in mammography machine procurement The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Sunday, October 19, filed a chargesheet at the Special Court against 14 individuals, including Dr. Sangita Kaushal Mishra, former Director General of the Department of Health Services, over alleged corruption in the procurement of mammography machines.
