4. Conclusions The results of the present study show an analysis of geogenic arsenic concentrations in the agricultural soils around the Papallacta parish in Ecuador. Analysis of soil samples and sediments from five sampling point sites of the Papallacta parish show enrichment of arsenic. The mean concentrations of arsenic in soil were higher than the safe limit set (12 mg kg−1) for agricultural purposes by the Ministry of Environment of Ecuador.
