In the current study, we evaluated the effect of acrolein on exacerbating MI induced by ISO and the protective effect of OLE on myocardium from myocardialinjury in vivo. Also, we found that the preventive effect of HT and OP on cardiomyocyte H9c2 cytotoxicity generated by acrolein in vitro through ER stress and Bcl2/Bax apoptosis pathways.
