Interview
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It's about maintaining trust within the community and providing a clear, resounding voice on the topics which are often neglected.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I am quite happy to be pitched on stories.
Why did you become a journalist?
I recognised there was a need for accurate representation within my community, where many locals feel there is little media representation.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes, I was a contributor over at my University magazine, SEREN! I was in charge of reporting on community issues and events.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
A prejudiced, factually questionable 'release' on "the transgender agenda."
