Immune cells are frequently found in the GBM microenvironment, but their role in tumor development and progression is not clear. Jackson et al. performed a large-scale analysis to characterize the transcriptional and phenotypic features of immune cells called myeloid-derived suppressive cells (MDSCs) in human GBM.
