After last week’s events, we have decided to push the launch of the Something Navy brand. The senseless deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor remind us of all the injustice that the Black community has endured–now is not the time to distract anyone from more important conversations and actions that need to happen to fight racism and inequality. We deeply believe that now is the time to stand in solidarity with the Black community.

Protests have ignited across the country in response to the latest wave of violent acts against Black Americans. George Floyd was killed by a police officer in Minneapolis just days ago, weeks after Breonna Taylor was killed by police in her Louisville, Kentucky home and Ahmaud Arbery was killed by two white men while jogging in Georgia. These devastating events have caused a nationwide cry for justice.
