First place for Outstanding Interpretation in Literature at the County and District Level Arjun's Poem: "I Will Change the World By . . ." I will change the world by running the longest length, Eating the most food, And by having the most strength. I will change the world by traveling through light speed. If we want to explore the galaxy further, That is something we will need. I will change the world by reaching for the stars, But does that change the world? Oh yes—most of ours! I will change the world by writing a helpful book— One that has knowledge, And one that teaches you to cook! I will change the world by making a vaccine That cures every disease, And price it free! I will change the world by providing food for every person, Achieving the goal of zero hunger— Increasing food production by a ton! I will change the world by giving everyone their rights, And if that doesn’t work, I’ll help them in their fights. I will change the world by changing it the most, Doing stuff that has never been done, And helping the world with its climb!

First place for Outstanding Interpretation in Literature at the County Level Arjun's Poem: "The Power of a Voice" Speak now, Or that inspiring voice will never be heard. Speak now, Or we will never accept each other and come together as one. Speak now, Or we won’t be able to save our brilliant blue world. If we speak now, We can only imagine what great things we’ll become. Speak now, Or our world will remain a quiet place. Speak now, Or the generations to come will suffer from our mistakes. If we continue to be quiet and let these problems unfold, Our future will be nothing like the stories we hope are told. Speak now, Or our planet will wither and slowly fade away. Speak now, Or we will never be well known one day. If we let our voices fill the room, We can watch our life begin to bloom. If we make our voices heard, We’ll fly like a free bird.
