Éric Péron finishes fifth and completes the circle in the Arkéa Ultim Challenge - Brest by Arkea Ultim Challenge - Brest 13 Mar 07:51 PDT Éric Péron sailing ULTIM ADAGIO crossed the finish line of the ARKEA ULTIM CHALLENGE - Brest at 14 h 44 27" to finish in fifth position, the final skipper to complete the 22, 460 nautical miles course which started on Sunday 7th January. His elapsed time is 66 days 01 hour, 14 minutes 27s and he finishes 15d 6h 6mn 45s after winner Charles Caudrelier.

You have just completed a round the world race in 64 days, how does that feel? I have dreamed of this finish I also feared it. It’s always weird to see faces again, my family, the team, the partners, the public. I know they supported me throughout this race and I’m delighted to be here. It has not been easy. After Cape Town, I couldn’t use my two foils and these boats are really not made for sailing without a foil. You get used to everything.

Team Lenny Wins wet & wild Cascais J70 Winter Series Stage 5

Corinthian Estonia Team Lenny of double Olympic medallists Tonu and Tomaas Töniste, with Maiki Saaring, Marko Lilienthal and Andres Viisemann won the 5th stage of the Cascais J70 Winter Series. The Estonians topped the 9 boat fleet, by displaying superior boat handling and team work, scoring 1, 1, 1, 3, 3. Strong winds of up to 35 knts and a massive swell battered the west atlantic european coast allowing only five races to be completed in Cascais.
