Cheniere signs long-term LNG supply deals with QatarEnergy through 2054
Cheniere Energy said on Thursday it has signed long-term agreements to supply QatarEnergy with 4 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually from the early 2030s through 2054, as it plans to expand production capacity. Agreements cover 2 million metric tons per year each from Cheniere’s Sabine Pass terminal in Louisiana and Corpus Christi terminal in Texas. LNG prices are indexed to Henry Hub natural gas prices plus a fixed fee.
Chevron expands Venezuela position, to invest $7bln in next five years
Chevron said on Wednesday it had agreed with Venezuela on updated terms for its joint ventures in the country and plans to invest more than $7 billion over the next five years, targeting production of about 600,000 bpd. U.S. refiners have been among the biggest financial beneficiaries of the Iran war that has disrupted global energy shipping, as international buyers have been willing to pay more to lock down supplies.

ExxonMobil said on Friday its pipeline of liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects would diversify its production away from the Middle East, but the company said it remains committed to pursuing opportunities in the region because of its long-term importance to global energy markets.
