Aryk is a photojournalist with the Oak Leaf. After experiencing a brain injury and a subsequent 5-year recovery, Aryk has returned to the professional world with a passion for visual storytelling. As a means to cope with the aftereffects of his injury, he developed a passion for photography., which he now channels into his work. He also works as a professional wedding and portrait photographer.

Hoax bomb threat prompts evacuations, bomb squad at SRJC's Bailey Hall

Aryk Copley, Staff Photographer Santa Rosa Junior College Police joined with two local agencies to respond to a bomb threat Wednesday evening on the Santa Rosa campus that was later ruled a hoax, according to authorities. At around 5 p.m. an unknown suspect told police dispatch there was a bomb in Bailey Hall. At 5:21 p.m., SRJC District Police released an SRJC alert to avoid the area.
