My father always said that knowing history helps you avoid the mistakes others already made. And history in tech tends to repeat itself in very predictable ways. Every time a new platform appeared, companies ignored it. Right now we're in that moment again. Before AI, reaching a traveler meant paying Google a lot. Travel keywords went from $1.40 per click in 2021 to $2.12 in 2025. But AI agents can search, compare, and recommend a hotel for $0.01-$0.05 per query. Or $0.001 for cheaper models.
