My first job as a journalist was writing for more prominent blogs and websites where my contributions were picked up and syndicated by larger publishers such as MSN.com.

Why did you become a journalist?
Writing is my passion. I appreciate the opportunity to spark joy and inspiration in others through my work.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I didn’t work for the newspaper, but I did work with the yearbook. It was a great experience helping to create a unique book full of good memories.

What's the best pitch you ever got?
The best pitch we have gotten so far has been from an outdoor brand inviting us to be brand ambassadors! We get lots of cool gear and help create content and share fun outdoor adventures to help others see how to use gear while finding unique places to get outside.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
When I'm not at the computer, I'm walking the dog or finding a cool place to hike close to home. We love to road trip, hike, and go camping!
