If Marvel thought its public relations strategy of hoping the Spider-Man: Brand New Day opening weekend excitement would bury news about Wonder Man’s cancellation, think again. Because the complaints about Wonder Man being canceled and praise for Spider-Man are happening simultaneously. Variety reported Thursday that Marvel Studios is no longer doing season 2 of Wonder Man. The series debuted on Disney+ in January. Marvel announced a second season in March.

The Steve Rogers Captain America movie trilogy is generally regarded as one of the best film series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The spy thriller vibes of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the Hydra reveal make it a renowned Marvel movie and a fan favorite. Captain America: Civil War isn’t a true Captain America story, but the tension makes it a compelling narrative that fans enjoy. Captain America: The First Avenger, however, doesn’t receive as much love or hype.
